The new Concert Hall of The Gnessin State Musical College (known as "Gnessinsky on the Povarskaya St.") is located right in the centre of Moscow. It was re-opened in 1998 after reconstruction. Being adjusted for chamber music concerts (its capacity is 320 seats), it magically unites academic traditions of the eldest Russian music educational institution and contemporary tendencies in its design. Optimal acoustic solution and comfortable amphitheatre, stylish scene and cozy backstage, interior coloured in brown and gold, - all that disposes the Performer and the Listener to be mutually delighted with music. The Concert Hall is the base for College students' performing practice. The Second Gnessin Competition for Young Pianists and Violinists took place here in December, 2000. At present days, concerts arranged by Moscow State Academic Philharmonia, Moscow Concert organization and by other performance groups take place in the Concert Hall. The Concert Hall grants its stage for arranging concerts, competitions, festivals, operas and dramatic staging, creative assemblies, master-classes and seminars. You may use professional audio and video recording services in our Hall. The Hall capacity is 320 seats.
