The Moscow Polo Club (MPC) was formed with the objective of introducing and actively promoting the sport of polo throughout Russia and the former Soviet Union.

The MPC will focus on providing and facilitating all the necessary infrastructure to enable polo teams and players to play the sport.Polo was last played in Russia before 1917, so an initial key focus of the Moscow Polo Club is on training:
Players: male and female with or without prior horse riding experience
Children: young boys and girls with or without prior horse riding experience
Coaches: that can teach polo to new players
Horse Trainers: that can learn how to train and take care of polo ponies
Umpires: that can officiate polo games in the futureAnother important focus of the Moscow Polo Club is in organizing an on-going platform of polo activities for players to increase their polo playing experience. The Moscow Polo Club will be actively involved in:
-Training polo players
-Organizing local polo teams, weekend games & polo clinics
-Inviting foreign teams to play polo in Russia
-Organizing trips abroad to play in and/or watch polo tournaments

MEMBERSHIP
When you become a member of the Moscow Polo Club you make a strong statement about your commitment to the re-introduction and development of polo in Russia, your appreciation of the game and your support to the formation of a Russian polo team.

The Club has two types of membership:
Playing Members
Social Members

New fee membership information for 2007 is now available:

Annual Fee 150 000 RUR.

Playing fee for those members who play on club ponies. RUR 300 000 annually payable in three instalments due in February, June, and August.

MPC members who own their own and play on their own ponies instead of the Playing Fee pay only Stabling Charges. Stabling Charges are: RUR 17 500 per month payable at mid month during playing and training seasons for the horses (Jan, Feb, Mar, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sept) and RUR 10 000 per month payable at mid month during rest times (Oct, Nov, Dec, April). The stabling charge is comprehensive and includes stabling, feeding, shoeing, training, and routine veterinary care.

Chukkers for MPC Members the price is 5000 RUR per chukker.

Chukkers for non MPC Members and guests the price is 6500 RUR per chukker

MPC is introducing for 2007 a YOUTH TARIFF for players under 31 years of age equal to one half of the normal rate.
