The exposition of the Muuseum is situated in two buildings. In the main building there are five expositions on history. Four exhibitions, the concert and lecture halls, the exhibiution - sale of folkcrafts are situated in the Museum complex of "Gostiny Dvor". The most interesting collections are: on archaelogy of the Northen people, ethnography, history and culture of the Arkhangelsk region from ancient time to nowadays; the exhibitions on the Arctic development, shipbuilding, folkcraft art, botany, collections of scientific and natural materials.
